A Jetpack VaultPress Backup alternative
Real-time backups inside the Jetpack bundle, or daily off-site backups sold per site and connected over SSH or a plugin.

Why site owners choose Zinn® Backups over Jetpack VaultPress Backup
One clear price per site, set by its size.
Locked copies that cannot be deleted for 30 days, even from inside a hacked site.
Where they are the better choice
VaultPress Backup backs up in real time and comes bundled with Jetpack's security tools. For a busy store where every order between backups matters, real-time copies are a real advantage.
Where Zinn® Backups fits
Zinn® Backups does not need Jetpack or a WordPress.com connection, can be connected over SSH without installing anything in WordPress, and is priced by the size of each site.
How to switch from Jetpack VaultPress Backup in three steps
Add your site and pick a size
Add the WordPress site where it is hosted now and choose the tier for its size. Nothing about the site has to move.
Connect over SSH, or with our plugin
SSH is best: nothing is installed in WordPress and we can restore the site even if it stops loading. If your host has no SSH, the free Zinn® Connector plugin works instead.
Keep Jetpack VaultPress Backup until the first copies are in
Leave Jetpack VaultPress Backup running until your first daily backups have completed and you have downloaded one to check it. Then you can cancel it.
Questions about switching from Jetpack VaultPress Backup
Can I keep my old Jetpack VaultPress Backup backups?
Yes — keep them where they are until they are no longer needed. Zinn® Backups starts its own daily copies from the day you connect, each kept for 30 days.
Where are my backups stored?
In our own off-site storage, included in the price. Each copy is locked for 30 days, so it cannot be overwritten or deleted, even by someone who has broken into your site or your account.
Can you restore my site if it will not load?
Yes, when it is connected over SSH: we restore it from our side, which does not need WordPress to be working. A site connected with the plugin can be backed up and downloaded, but not restored by us.
